The Birth of Anabaptism (500-Year Anniversary)

Overwhelmed by the choice they needed to make, the group fell to their knees. They all appealed to the God of heaven for mercy and grace to do His will. As he rose from his knees, George Blaurock's belief had intensified that he needed a believer's baptism in order to obey the Scriptures. He turned to Conrad Grebel. "I want to be baptized with the true Christian baptism. Will you baptize me?"

On January 21, 1525, a group of fifteen people gathered to pray. Before the night was over, something happened that would change the world forever. The Anabaptism movement had begun.
