This 2nd edition (2024) is not compatible with the previous edition.

If students have completed Speedy Spanish I, then they have a good foundation for this course (recommended for grade 6 and up). There are a few things that are the same, but in this book, they will deepen their knowledge of Spanish grammar, learn a wider vocabulary, and learn more about how to conjugate Spanish verbs.

This course contains 30 lessons: each of the six units has five lessons, a review, and a test. Each lesson is divided into five parts, and is designed to be done over one week's time, although another option is to split the lesson in half and work on it twice a week. Students will also have one week to complete both the unit review and test. They will need to know the meaning of each vocabulary word, along with being able to pronounce and spell each one correctly, including any accent marks. If they have trouble doing this, give the students a spelling test at the end of the week or have your students practice saying the words to each other and writing them on the blackboard.

Practice singing the weekly songs when you sing in the mornings or have music class. Practice the Spanish Bible memory work by integrating it into your regular Bible memory practice routine.

The components of this course are two student workbooks, a vocabulary word card packet, audio files, and a Teacher's Guide. Each student workbook contains three units. Book A contains Units 1-3 and the corresponding tests. Book B contains Units 4-6 and tests. The Teacher's Guide contains reproductions of the workbook pages and the tests with answers, but it is more than an answer key. It contains lesson plans with helpful information and ideas for successfully teaching this course.
