Stories from the mission field in Honduras

The rugged mountains of Honduras are breathtakingly beautiful, but in the tiny houses clinging to the slopes live people with lost souls. A Rainbow in the Mountains introduces you to some who were rescued.

Berta lost her father as a child and then lost her way, becoming a defiant sinner. When she surrendered to Christ, vices and misery were replaced with victory and joy. There was Mario, enslaved to drink; Pedro, with a trail of enemies; and Leda, terrified and dying—these and others found eternal life.

You will meet missionaries who comforted grieving families, stitched up wounds, and helped a community solve its water problem. They were blessed and challenged by their Honduran brothers and sisters.

Mission work is not all glowing stories. The missionaries in these candid accounts endured disappointments, cultural adjustments, loneliness, robberies, and ordinary days where little seemed to be accomplished.

These testimonies impress us with the deep needs of those in spiritual darkness. Though missionary life is challenging, the work is fulfilling and the rewards are eternal.
