As they share the Gospel—and their home—with university students, the Stanwicks need an everyday sort of grace.

"Kirk and Sable can't find an apartment for October," Roger said.

"Oh, dear. What will they do?" Grace asked nervously.

"Well, here's the thing. They found an apartment that works for them, but they can't move in until November. Their current lease runs out at the end of September."

"Yes?" Grace prompted, nervous now.

Roger and Grace Stanwick have relocated to a university town as part of an outreach effort. As first-generation Mennonites, they understand the difficulty of embracing a separated lifestyle, but they are eager to make new friends and share the Gospel.

Moving to a new community and opening a store bring plenty of headaches—literal ones for Grace. The kitchen in their house is less than ideal, and the Texas heat and the eccentric, unsociable lady next door give Grace plenty to pray about. When Roger and Grace invite a young couple from the university to share their home for a month, Grace knows she will need God's help to withstand the added stress.

Kitchen Grace is a fictional story that encourages hospitality, local outreach, and a heart of understanding for those seeing Truth.
